Hastelloy C276 has stronger corrosion resistance, especially in hydrochloric acid and high chlorine environments; Inconel 625 has excellent high temperature tolerance, with a maximum operating temperature of 982 °C, compared with Hastelloy C276’s maximum operating temperature of 816 °C.
The chemical composition of Hastelloy C276 covers nickel (52.0% ~ 60.0%), chromium (14.5% ~ 16.5%), molybdenum (15.0% ~ 17.0%) and tungsten (3% ~ 4.5%), and contains trace amounts of iron, manganese, silicon, titanium, phosphorus and carbon. This carefully designed element ratio allows it to show excellent corrosion resistance and stable mechanical properties even in strong acid environment and high temperature conditions.
