Professional Chicago Screws Manufacturer

Chicago screws, also commonly known as Sex Bolts or Binding Posts Screws. They consist of a Barrel Bolt with internal threads and an externally threaded male screw. When screwed together, they can tightly clamp objects from both sides, forming a flat, stable, and detachable connection structure.

T&Y Hardware is not just a manufacturer but also a stable cornerstone of your fastener supply chain. We focus on addressing the core pain points in cross-border procurement of Chicago binding screws: specification confusion, material fraud, and delivery delays.

  • High Precision: 50+ fully automated production lines ensure manufacturing tolerances are strictly controlled within ±05mm, eliminating burrs and stripping issues.
  • Delivery Assurance: Relying on a tens-of-millions-level inventory reserve, we ensure fast shipping for standard specifications.
  • Customization Capability: The prototyping cycle for non-standard customizations takes only 10-20 days.

Chicago screws vs rivets, what's the difference?

Chicago screws are removable and reusable. In contrast, rivets are permanent fasteners. Once installed, they cannot be removed without causing damage and are not reusable.

What are chicago screws used for?

Chicago screws are used for leather work (belts, bags, shoes, magazines, decorative accessories), bookbinding (menus, portfolios), signage, and assembling small mechanisms.

How to use chicago screws?

After drilling holes in the materials to be connected and aligning them, insert the chicago screw shank vertically from the front side of the materials into the holes until the end protrudes from the back side. On the back side of the materials, manually tighten the nut onto the screw threads initially, then use a screwdriver or wrench to slowly rotate the nut until noticeable resistance is felt.

How to remove chicago screws?

Clamp the smooth end of the Chicago screw with pliers or a fixture to secure it, then simply rotate the other end counterclockwise with a screwdriver or electric drill to remove it.
