The head structure of the eye nut and eye bolt is the same. After being installed on a regular bolt, the eye nut can be used just like the eye bolt, but it does not have the same strength as the eye bolt.
If eye shaped wood screws or self tapping screws are used, they can be directly screwed onto the surface of the wood. For ordinary eye bolts, suitable holes need to be drilled to install them. It is best to use shoulder shaped eye bolts or washers to protect the surface of the wood from damage.
