What is rivet nuts？
Rivet nuts also called rivnuts，threaded rivet nuts，pop nut . It is pressed into a pre-punched hole by means of mechanical or hydraulic pressure, during which the bottom part of the nut unfolds to create a firm fixed base, while the top part is internally threaded for screwing in bolts or screws.
Types of rivet nuts
The common types of rivets and nuts we use include cylindrical, hexagonal, semi hexagonal, blind and through holes, and petal shaped.
Flat-head knurled rivet nutThis type of rivnuts features a flat head and a round body, which can be either knurled or smooth. upon installation, it sits flush with the surface of the connected piece, presenting a relatively neat appearance.
Countersunk head rivet nutThis type of rivet nut has a conical head that, when installed, sinks into the surface of the connected piece. it is suitable for applications where a high degree of mounting surface flatness is required.
Hexagon head rivet nutIts body is hexagonal or half hexagon, and when installed into a hexagonal hole, it can serve an anti-slip function.
Blind hole rivet nutAlso known as Closed end blind rivet threaded inserts, it has a closed tail that can effectively prevent foreign objects from entering. It is suitable for situations where installation can only be done from one side.
Open end rivet nutAlso called Open end rivet nuts, it has openings on both ends, suitable for connecting components that require penetration installation.
Hollow petal shape Jack NutAlso called the molly nuts, It is a type of lightweight rivet nut that, once installed, expands into a petal shape to provide good pull-out resistance. Additionally, its small and unobtrusive head makes it suitable for applications where aesthetics are a concern.
